Fried chicken wraps are a delicious recipe that combine crispy fried chicken with various fillings and sauces, all wrapped in a soft tortilla or flatbread.
These wraps are a versatile and easy, customisable meal, and you can adjust the ingredients to suit your taste.
For the Fried Chicken
- 2 lb Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts cut into strips
- 250g Roohts Chicken Coating
- 2 Eggs whisked
- Cooking Oil for frying
- Tortillas or flatbreads
Step 1 - Dip the chicken into beaten eggs.
Step 2 - Add Chicken Coating to a plate.
Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, ensuring it's evenly coated.
Step 3 - Heat cooking oil in a deep wok or deep fryer to about 175-190C.
Step 4 - Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, usually 3 - 4 minutes per side depending on the thickness of the chicken Make sure the internal temperature reaches 74°C.
Step 5 - Assemble the Wraps by laying a tortilla or flatbread on a plate.
Add Salad, then Chicken Strips, then Sauce.
Fold in the sides of the Tortilla and serve.
Variations and Serving Suggestion
Feel free to customise your fried chicken wraps with different pickles and grated cheese.
Leftover wraps can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
