Coriander, Chilli, Cumin, Ginger, Salt, Fennel, Black Pepper, Turmeric, Cinnamon Powder, Bay Leaves, Cardamom, Aniseed, Sunflower Oil, Nutmeg.

Dhaal Recipe Mix

SERVES 4-6

Introducing our Dhaal Recipe Mix, a symphony of aromatic spices carefully crafted to enhance your lentil dishes.

You will need

  • 1 tbsp Oil or Ghee
  • 1 medium Onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tbsp Roohts Dhaal Recipe Mix
  • 125g Red Lentils (Soaked for 30 mins)
  • Salt to taste
  • 700 ml Water (Boiled)

Instructions

STEP 1: Heat oil/ghee in a pot over medium high heat and add Onions. Cook till golden brown.

STEP 2: Stir in Garlic and Ginger Paste and cook for 1 minute over low heat.

STEP 3: Stir in Roohts Dhaal Recipe mix.

STEP 4: Add Lentils, Salt and Water. Lower heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes stirring regularly. Add more water if needed.

Optional Tadka/Tempering

Heat Oil or Ghee in a small pot over medium heat. Add 1 tsp Cumin Seeds 6 Curry leaves and 1 Garlic clove sliced. Cook until the garlic takes on a little colour and pour over the Dhaal.
