Cajun pasta is a delicious and flavourful dish that combines the spicy and rich flavours of Cajun cuisine with Pasta. Cajun Seasoning is a blend of spices such as paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, and thyme, used to add flavour and heat to dishes.
Ingredients
- 500g Pasta
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Onion, diced
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 3 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 150g Plum Tomatoes, blended
- 2 tbsp Cream Cheese
- Salt and Pepper
- 60g Cheddar Cheese, grated
Instructions
Add Olive Oil to a pan/pot over medium high heat.
Once hot add Onions and Garlic and cook till golden brown - about 5 minutes.

In the meantime, boil the pasta in a large pot of boiling water with a teaspoon of salt, according to the package instructions until al dente and reserve a ladleful of the pasta water.

Stir the Cajun Seasoning and Tomato.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Add reserved pasta water to the pot and cook for 2 minutes over medium low heat.
Add Cream Cheese, Salt and Pepper.
Stir in the cooked, drained Pasta and mix through.

Add the Cheese and cook over medium heat for a minute.
Variations
Skip the Cream Cheese and add Double Cream instead.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with a sprinkling of Parmesan Cheese.
