Use Roohts Chicken Fry Mix to make these ultra crispy fried chicken burgers that are bursting with flavour.
- 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- Sauces of choice
- 4 Burger Buns, toasted
- 750ml-1litre Vegetable Oil
- 300ml Buttermilk
- 2 tsp Roohts Chicken Powder
- 250g Roohts Chicken Fry Mix
Step 1 - Pound Chicken Breasts with a rolling pin or mallet between 2 sheets of cling film until even thickness (around 3/4 inch thick).
Step 2 - In a large bowl, combine Buttermilk with Chicken Coater Powder.
Place Chicken Breasts in the bowl and marinade for 30 minutes or upto 4 hours.
Take the chicken out the fridge 30mins before frying.
Step 3 - Place Roohts Chicken Coater powder flour in a large shallow bowl.
One by one coat the breasts in the flour, making sure you completely coat each time.
Step 4 - In a large pot or deep pan heat up your oil.
Fry Chicken in batches for around 4-5mins per side.
The internal temp of the chicken should reach 74C.
Carefully remove and rest on a wire rack with paper towels underneath.
Step 5 - Assemble Burgers and enjoy.
Variations and Serving Suggestion
Add Pickles and Coleslaw to the Burgers.
These Burgers are best eaten and made fresh.
