Serves 1
Ingredients
2 heaped tbsp Talbina (Cinnamon and Date Sugar)
250 ml Milk
2 chopped Dates
1 tsp Chia Seeds
1 tsp Cacao or Cocoa Powder
1/8 - 1/4 tsp ground All Spice or sub Cardamom
1 tbsp Nut Butter (Peanut or Almond)
45g Rolled Oats
Fruit Compote
100g Mixed Frozen Fruit
1 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp ground Cinnamon
2 tbsp Water
Toppings
Mixed Seeds
Strawberries
Bananas
Honey or Maple Syrup
Instructions
Add all the ingredients for the Talbina and Oat bowl to a pot and simmer gently over medium low heat for 5 minutes, mixing at intervals to ensure it isn’t sticking to the bottom of the pot. Remove to a bowl.
Add all the ingredients for the fruit compote to a pot and bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 4-5 minutes.
Add the compote and toppings to the Porridge.
Variations
Use Tahini instead of Nut Butter.
