A warming aromatic and delicious Prawn Masala Recipe made with Roohts Tandoori Recipe Mix. Perfect for a weekend take-away.
Ingredients
- 400g King Prawns, Deveined
- 30g Plain Yoghurt
- 1 tbsp Roohts Tandoori Seasoning, divided
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- Salt
- 2 tbsp Oil (Vegetable)
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1/2 Onion, finely chopped
- 150g tinned Tomatoes, pureed
- 60ml Double Cream
- 1/2 tsp Honey
Instructions
Marinade Prawns in Yoghurt, 1/2 tbsp Roohts Tandoori Seasoning, Lemon Juice, Garlic, Ginger and Salt for 15 minutes.
Place Prawns in a pan with 1 tbsp Oil and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the remaining Oil to a large pot over medium-high heat.
Add the Bay Leaf , Cinnamon Stick and Onion, and cook for 5 minutes until golden brown.

Add the remaining Tandoori Seasoning and cook for 2 minutes.

Stir in Tomatoes.
Bring to the boil, then simmer covered for 5 - 10 minutes.

Add the Prawns and cook for 2 minutes on low heat.
Stir in Cream and Honey and simmer for 1 minute.
Then remove from the heat.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with Rice or Naan.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
