Talbina bread is a simple, nourishing barley bread inspired by a traditional Sunnah food known for its health benefits and gentle nourishment. Made from barley flour, this bread brings back an ingredient that has been part of diets for centuries but is often overlooked in modern kitchens.

Barley is rich in fibre, minerals, and slow releasing energy, making it an excellent choice for balanced, wholesome eating. Talbina, traditionally prepared as a porridge, is praised in prophetic tradition for its soothing and restorative qualities. Turning it into bread is a practical way to include these benefits in everyday meals.
At a time when many breads rely on refined flours, talbina bread offers a wholesome alternative that supports digestion, satiety, and overall wellbeing. It is hearty, slightly nutty in flavor, and pairs well with both savory and sweet foods.
